Thornton Winery is looking for a versatile Full Charge Bookkeeper.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records for our organization.
Your attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in various software programs will contribute to the success of our financial operations.

This is a full-time position Monday-Friday.
May require overtime and/or work on weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable.
General Ledger and account reconciliations.
Month ending closing.
Cash forecasting and budgeting.
Multi Departmental Financial statement preparation
Financial statement preparation.
Warehouse inventory tracking and reconciliation.
Inventory cost analysis.
Sales Tax calculation and reporting.
Daily cash reporting and tracking of all banking activity to President.
All cash handling/banking for front of house operations
Daily revenue reconciliation and journal entry for POS systems and internet sales.
Restaurant, banquet & concert events tip tracking and reporting for bi-weekly payroll.
Federal and State Excise tax reporting.
Collaborate with external auditors for financial audits.
Skills & Abilities:
Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Personable and friendly with the ability to treat staff and guests in a respectful manner.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and holidays if needed.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Payroll processing experience.
Education and Experience:
Quickbooks Online
Minimum five years related experience.
Working in a restaurant/winery preferred.
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office product.
Intermediate/advance knowledge of Excel.
POS system management for restaurant and retail operations, including payment systems management.
Accounting BS Degree.
Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
