This position will offer the right candidate a wide variety of duties, while gaining experience in the HOA industry.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing accounts receivable, accounts payable, financials, and other various accounting related tasks.
The position is most suitable for an individual looking for a flexible part-time or full-time position with the ability to think outside the box and is detail oriented.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* * Post Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Charges, Late Fees, and Interest * Accurately Process Deposits Each Week for Homeowners and Rental Properties * Investigate Homeowner’s Accounts and Perform Adjustments as Needed * Process Weekly and Monthly Payables Timely * Prepare and Review Monthly Financials for Each Association * Process Journal Entries as Approved by Supervisor * Create Monthly Distributions and Reporting for Rental Properties * Generate and Upload Monthly Statements * Process Utility Billing * Print and File Reports as Required * Assist in Gathering Documentation for Annual Third-Party Audits * Timely Process of Accounting Tasks per the Monthly/ Annual Schedules * Any Additional Job Duties as Required by Supervisor *Qualifications:* * Strong Knowledge of Accounting Concepts and Processes * Knowledge Of GAAP Principles * Ability to Accurately Perform Tasks Within Provided Deadlines with Minimal Errors * Understanding of Financials Generated Monthly * Ten-Key Required Ability to Work Under Tight Deadlines with a High Level of Accuracy * Maintain Reliable Transportation * Must Be Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs, Including Word, Outlook , and with an Emphasis in Excel * Demonstrate Organizational Skills and Ability to Independently Prioritize Daily Workload * Must Work Effectively with Colleagues and Clients *Education and/or Experience:* * GED or High School Diploma Required * Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred * Must Have 1-3 Years’ Experience in Accounting or Related Fields *Skills:* * Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills * Critical Thinker and Problem Solver * Strong Attention to Detail * Excellent Time Management Skills * Self-Starter *Work Environments:* * Work Environment Characteristics Described Here are Representative of Those a Team Member Would Encounter while Performing the Essential Functions of This Job * Reasonable Accommodations may be made to Enable Individuals with Disabilities to Perform Essential Job Functions * Typical Office Environment with Low Level Noise Exposure *Physical Demands:* * Exhibit Professionalism, Professional Attire, and Demeanor at all times * Ability to Sit and Stand for up to 8 Hours a Day * Operate Business Equipment *Benefits after Introductory Period:* * $200 Monthly Company Contribution to Health Insurance Plan * Choice Healthcare Plans to Customize Your Needs (PPO, HMO, HSA, Rx, etc.
