We are a well-established full-service CPA firm in Palm Desert looking for an Entry-Level Accountant.
An entry level accountant ordinarily has a degree in accounting.
He/she may have work experience in public or private accounting and may have little experience in auditing or preparing tax returns.
The entry-level accountant knows the basic accounting concepts involved and procedures to be followed.
Job Requirements
QuickBooks knowledge
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledgeable of Basic Accounting and Tax Operations and Procedures
Lacerte software knowledge a plus
CPA candidate

Possible Duties
· Organize and update tax databases.
· Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns
· Individual and Corporate Tax return preparation.
· Record transactions in journals, classify postings, total, and cross-total entries for a period.
· Prepare simple financial statements, using a provided format.
· Reconcile bank statements and trace discrepancies.
· Prepare payroll tax, sales and other local tax, and simple income tax returns.
· Perform or assist in the counting and recording of cash, inventories of merchandise or supplies, and other assets.
· Trace and vouch entries to original documents or sources.
· Classify accounts for financial statement preparation.
