*REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer* *FLSA: Full-Time, Exempt* *PAY: $70,000 - $75,000, Annually* *LOCATION: On-Site 100%* *JOB SUMMARY* The McCallum Theatre is seeking a professional and highly talented _*Staff Accountant*_ to join our team.
The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in performing a variety of accurate and timely accounting tasks within the organization.
This role focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and daily deposits.
Experience in the non-profit sector is highly desirable, and knowledge of multiple accounting software programs is a significant advantage.
*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES* _Accounts Payable_ · Update and manage information related to vendors in the database.
· Ensure the proper organization and storage of invoices with the Paper safe workflow system.
· Review incoming invoices to ensure accurate coding and proper authorization.
· Generate and process weekly check payments for approved invoices.
· Reconcile company credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Verify and reconcile all monthly account statements related to accounts payable.
· Oversee and prepare annual Form 1099 for necessary vendors Regularly reconcile the monthly Accounts Payable Aging report for accuracy.
_Accounts Receivable_ · Update and manage the client database regularly.
· Ensure accuracy and completeness of client information.
Generate and prepare all client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Verify billing details and confirm adherence to contractual items.
· Monitor payment status of invoices.
· Review and submit invoices for timely payment.
· Regularly reconcile the Accounts Receivable Aging report.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
_Payroll_ · Calculate and process employee bi-weekly payroll accurately.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Reconcile payroll data and prepare corresponding journal entries.
· Maintain accurate payroll records.
· Manage and reconcile monthly Flexible Spending Account reimbursements.
· Review quarterly payroll reports and tax returns for accuracy.
Address any issues and ensure compliance.
· Compile and submit required data for Quarterly US Census reports.
· Verify and review information for annual employee tax forms (W-2) · Distribute (W-2) forms to employees.
· Organize and provide necessary information for the annual Workers Compensation audit.
Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
· Compile and submit data for annual US census report.
_Fixed Assets_ · Keep the fixed asset database up to date.
· record new acquisitions and disposals.
· Calculate and record monthly depreciation for fixed assets.
_Daily Deposits_ · Process and submit daily deposits from box office and fundraising activities.
· Handle daily cash deposits promptly.
· Make bank runs as required and trained secure and accurate transactions.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* · Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred · 2+ years of accounting and payroll experience, preferably in the non-profit or arts sector · Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications · Strong mathematical and analytical skills · Strong organizational and project management skills · Proficiency in Quickbooks, Smartsheets, Excel or accounting software programs · Excellent communication and collaboration skills · Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously · Flexibility to work extended hours on weekends when required · Relevant training certifications in accounting or payroll, preferred *Work Authorization/Security Clearance * Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

This role operates within the theatre as well as the exterior grounds of the facility.

Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform light to medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio.
Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer, keyboard, tools and equipment.
Incumbents in this classification sit, bend, stoop and reach.
Ability to lift 10 pounds is necessary for moving materials when necessary.
Candidates must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials with assistance and/or the use of proper equipment.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.
00 - $75,000.
