ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
Assists in developing and planning a comprehensive, risk-based audit program.
Ensure compliance with all Tribal, state and federal regulations.
As required, works with the internal audit team in the development of creative, practical, and cost-effective recommendations for improvement.
Report material weakness in the Tribal systems of internal controls and recommend procedures to eliminate those weaknesses.
Work with the Tribal Audit & Compliance Department in examining records of departments to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws.
Inspect accounting systems to determine their efficiency and protective value.
Determine the extent to which operating assets are accounted for and safeguarded from loss.
Review records pertaining to material assets such as equipment, building and vehicles, to determine the degree to which they are utilized.
Recommend operating procedures designed to improve the efficiency or profitability of a particular department or function for the Tribal Administration, Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino.
Analyze data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort or lack of compliance with management’s established policies and procedures.
Conduct special studies at the request of management, such as those required to discover mechanics of detected frauds and develop protective controls to prevent recurrence.
Prepare written reports of all audits undertaken containing findings.
Written reports are sent to the Compliance Leadership for review/recommendation.
Present findings to upper management in the form of reports and presentations.
Tracking reported department violations and the responses.
Review, reconcile, and verify documents for proper completion.
Perform continuous monitoring as required.
Appraise the adequacy of action taken by operating management to implement recommendations and correct reported deficient conditions.
Conducts compliance audits, inspections, and reviews Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS) and Policy & Procedures.
Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not require supervisory duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED): BA from a four-year college or university 1-2 years’ experience in Internal Audit or adjacent field Knowledge in Casino operations required Experience writing and reviewing policy & procedures are preferred CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass periodic random drug screens.
Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
