United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) is a 501 (c) (3) organization incorporated in 1985.
UCPIE is an affiliate of over 60 national United Cerebral Palsy organizations providing services to people with developmental disabilities beyond cerebral palsy.
UCPIE provides programs and services in the Inland Empire in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
UCPIE’s mission is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities.
Services provided are for individuals diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome, epilepsy, intellectual delay and other disabilities.
*BASIC FUNCTION:* The Payroll Clerk accurately issues pay to employees by calculating earnings and deductions in accordance with established practices and guidelines.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: * Collect and compile payroll data (Payroll cleaning) * Enter payroll data using appropriate software (ADP) * Review and verify source documents * Calculate and post payroll deductions * Process payroll by established deadlines * Issue statements of earnings and deductions (paychecks and/or direct deposit vouchers) * Reconcile employee deductions * Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors * Update payroll records by recording changes including insurance coverage, loan payments, salary increases * Process new employees, terminations, transfers, and promotions * Prepare and print payroll reports of earnings, hours worked, taxes, insurance, leave * Address employee's pay-related concerns and provide accurate payroll information * Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verifications * Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records * Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.

annual Children’s holiday party, outside of accounting functions.
* Maintain and process court order withholding.
* Other duties as assigned.

*WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK* This job operates in a professional office environment.
The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
The Payroll Clerk will work a typical Monday – Friday 9 a.
m.
to 5 p.
m.
schedule however must be available to work evenings and weekends when job duties demand availability around the typical schedule.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS* The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be required by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position requires employees to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 8 hours).
The employee is also frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms; the employee at times will pick up items up to 25 pounds.
*TRAVEL* This job generally does not require travel, but the employee must be available to travel if job duties require training and development.
If the person must drive on behalf of the company, the company will require an employee to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance.
*REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE* 1.
High School Diploma or equivalent 2.
Knowledge of QuickBooks 3.
General accounting procedures knowledge 4.
Knowledge of the ADP payroll system 5.
Knowledge of federal and state pay regulations and requirements 6.
One to three years of general accounting or payroll experience *WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE* 1.
Fingerprint clearance through the FBI and DOJ.
