We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our company and provide support to our accounting team.
*Objectives of this role:*
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the receivables aspect of the accounting operations of the Company.
The position is responsible for all cash and lease residential customer collections and the overall picture of receivables at any point in time.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Timely and accurate creation and submission of invoicing to Customers
* Responsible for issuing proper California lien releases
* Ensures that Accounts Receivables are collected promptly
* Records payments from customers accurately, records cash receipts and prepares bank deposits
* Tracks and issues commission reports to CFO for payroll processing to Solar Consultants based on payment from customers
* Responsible for accurately preparing reports for management's use in determining estimated to actual cost on jobs
* Assist Management as required on all areas of job costing and budgeting
* Working against a baseline average job cost, determine final costs/variance for each job once the process is in place
* Help identify trends and potential irregularities in cash flow
*Qualifications :*
* 3+ years of Accounts Receivables experience
* High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
* Familiarity with QuickBooks
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Must have strong work ethics
* Must be well organized and a self-starter
* Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
* Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable
* Possess strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
* Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts receivable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
* Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
* Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
* Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
* Understand the needs of a start-up company in a growth phase
* Desire to increase knowledge of the emerging Energy Efficiencies and Renewable Energy business
