Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Required: Minimum 3 years experience within Accounting field.
Preferred: Healthcare experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and acts to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
Performs key tasks in the month-end close process by analyzing accounts and collecting data needed to prepare journal entries to properly reflect the financial activities within the organization.
Must be able to handle the process independently and use professional judgement to determine items of concern to report to Accounting Manager and/or Director.
Responsible for maintaining subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis, ensuring the subsidiary and the general ledger are balanced at all times.
Must be able to use independent judgement based on professional skill and training to research and resolve any discrepancies.
Responsible for reconciling bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and other specified general ledger accounts on a consistent monthly basis.
Responsible for exercising discretion and utilizing independent judgement in determining required adjustments or restatement, and advising Accounting Manager/Director of the adjustments and/or restatements in a timely manner.
Responsible for producing the month-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and the preparation of various analytical narratives utilizing their expert judgement and knowledge to support the statements and explain variances to budget/prior year, in accordance with specified monthly time frames.
Responsible for the preparation of regulatory, tax, external report filings on a quarterly and/or annual basis as required.
Must stay current with GAAP and reporting requirements for Not-for-profit organizations, particularly within the Healthcare industry.
Must be able to use independent judgement and discretion in the interpretation of regulations and how they translate to the Hospital's financial reporting both internal and external.
Participates in educational and training opportunities.
Responsible for documenting all policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
Protects the organization by keeping information secure and confidential.
Prepares annual audit schedules according to time schedules and assists independent auditors as needed.
Assist in development of operating and capital budgets as requested.
Participates in cross-training as part of the Corporate Accounting team.
Evaluate and advise on financial operations including appropriate recording of revenue and expenses, and financial commitments.
Any other duties that may be assigned to assist in the production of financial data.
