Trading My 2004 Ford F-150.
It runs on Compressed Natural Gas.
I was on my way to town, and it wouldn't start.
So I had it towed to a shop in Temecula.
All the shops in Temecula said they don't work on vehicles that run on CNG.
This last place said they could probably fix it.
They ran some test, and said it needed a starter.
So now it starts, but shuts right off.
The mechanic said it's probably something with the hoses to the fuel tank, and that I need to take it to a place that specializes in CNG vehicles.
I just put in a $300 Sterio, $150 Battery, and $600 for New Tires, still under warranty, just paid the registration, and it just passed Smog.
Not to mention the New Starter for $413.
00 w/2yr warranty.
I took it to Auto Zone and tested it, and the test said Imay need to replace the spark plugs, or it could be the Ignition Coil.
So I am now putting it up for Sale, or I need a mechanic who know how to do the repairs.
I will Sale it for $2,500 Cash or $4,500 Trade.
