Description/Job Summary Lindahl Reed is seeking an energy professional to provide Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) services at MCAGCC Twentynine Palms.
Our work in the energy market includes partnering with our customers to provide high-quality, professional and efficient services.
To achieve this, we put an emphasis on sourcing experienced individuals who share our passion.
The REM candidate will provide engineering, technical knowledge, and analysis of highly specialized energy management applications, databases, and systems, as well as high-level functional support for evaluation and implementation advice on energy information management, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy resilience projects.
The REM candidates will also be responsible for implementing sound, cost-effective energy, and water management practices to enhance energy security, independence, and sustainability as mandated by legislation and various Executive Orders.
The candidates will support the development of energy conservation, renewable energy, and facility improvement initiatives and projects.
Services provided include: Position Responsibilities: Conduct energy audits.
Identify and implement energy conservation measures.
Support energy planning, including the development of installation Energy and Water Plans.
Analyze energy, water, and other utility data.
Provide energy training and support awareness initiatives.
Conduct design reviews.
Recommend improvements to energy and utility procurement operations and maintenance.
Support construction of energy projects through Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects, Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects, Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects, and other energy funded- projects.
Position Requirements Minimum Basic Requirement for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field Six years of energy management experience Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or ability to obtain CEM within six months.
Strong knowledge of utility information systems, metering, mechanical and lighting systems Experience with energy auditing, project development, life-cycle cost analysis, and building/facility operations Experience supporting the development and implementation of energy projects using alternative financing mechanisms.
Understanding of project programming, funding, and implementation at Department of Defense installations Excellent oral/written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills Self-starter, driven and able to work with limited direction under target timelines.
Collaborative personality enjoys and able to work effectively, independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.
g.
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
) US Citizenship is required.
Ability to pass a government-administered background investigation in order to be granted a Common Access Card and access to government IT systems.
