We are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Temecula, CA.
Your main missions will be the following:
• Cover from concept design to production release: requirements discovery and specification, develop and support system specifications and requirements with stakeholders, design, CAD modeling, drafting, lead and conduct design reviews, product development and production process definition and implementation, develop prototypes, complete system DVP&R, production workflows, create documentation, manage CAD and technical databases, manage supply chain and vendors, and manage multiple projects in cross functional team environment at the system, subsystem and component levels.
• Develop, apply, and deploy the core technology of Symbio in automotive and commercial hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle applications.
• Collaborate with project managers to review and define scope, ensure complete and on time delivery of multiple projects.
• Concept design and modeling.
Generate complete mechanical part and assembly designs with leading parametric CAD tools including 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, system and part specifications, assembly documentation, user installation/integration, operation and maintenance documentation.
Create models and perform CFD and FEA analysis to support designs
• Create, manage, and update bills of materials and design drawings.
Implement and manage PLM tools
• Implement industry standard process disciplines,
• Generate technical reports, presentations and proposals and conduct presentations.
The profile we are looking for:
Experience: Experience in automotive industry, ideally in a car manufacturer or tier 1 supplier.
Ideally experienced in short run and prototype environment, with a fabrication and machining.

3D/2D CAD expertise with leading commercial CAD and PLM tools.
(ie, CREO and Windchill).
Prior experience in performing calculations for fluid and structural systems including mass and energy balance computations, CFD, FEA analysis.
Experience with DFMEA, HAZOP and systems engineering to ensure safe fail product performance.
Test experience: build and operation of test benches, knowledge of sensors, data acquisition, collection and analysis.
Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical and controls aptitude • Capability to train/mentor junior engineers • Demonstrated experience in leading and conducting internal and external design reviews • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to fuel cell systems.
Education & Certifications: Master’s degree in engineering discipline or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in electro-mechanical systems design and integration projects preferably medium and heavy-duty vehicle experience.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 USD to $135,000 USD.
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
