Job Description and Duties
Under direction of the Plant Operations Supervisor and Lead of Electrician III, the Electrician II shall conduct or supervise the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical power and lighting systems, motors, panel boards, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical apparatus from 115 Volts to 480 Volts single phase & 3 phase systems.
Determine if response is required by high voltage contractor for 2400 Vac power distribution system.
Supervises or instruct inmates in the performance of basic electrical repairs.
Performs searches for contraband or weapons.
Makes rough sketches, estimates labor and materials, and procure needed supplies or material.
Keep records and make reports.
Layout jobs and schedule work.
Maintain security, leading and supervising inmates, prevents escapes and injury by those persons to themselves and others or to property.
Maintains the security to working areas and work materials, inspects premises and searches inmates for contraband.

Limited term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
