Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department.
Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
Position Summary
GENERAL DUTIES:
Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
Prioritizes and issues work orders to Maintenance mechanic staff.
Plant Operations Department is a full service department providing utilities on a 24 hour basis.
The position is responsible for complying with these regulatory agencies: 1) TJC, 2) OSHPD, 3) SCAQMD, 4) NFPA, 5) Title 22 & 24, 6) NEC, 7) Cal OSHA and 8) UBC 90.
No Patient Health Information access required.
This position may be responsible for one or all of the following duties
Repairs and maintains all equipment assigned to Plant Operations with the help of work order system.
Maintenance and repair of installed equipment.
Paints, repairs, and maintains all walls and painted surfaces throughout the hospital.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
Assist Plumbers, HVAC Technicians, Electricians and Stationary Engineers with major and minor repairs and equipment replacement.
May need to drive a company vehicle during business hours.
Performs preventive maintenance to satisfy regulatory agencies.
Set up, tear down, and maintenance of small scale infection prevention barriers.
Schedule may change as required by project.
Attends training and safety classes as directed by supervisor.
Door repairs and hardware installation.
Repair furniture and related partitions, repair flooring and handrails.
Minor concrete repair, resurfacing, and grinding
Follow direction of dispatcher through work order system to implement repairs.
Repair and maintenance of countertops
Removal, reinstallation and repair of ceiling T Bar fixtures
Patching, painting, stucco, wall penetration and wall covering repairs
Window tinting
Minor framing repairs and structural backing as per OSHPD requirements
Minor roof repairs
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
ASHE Health Care Physical Environment Worker Certification
Forklift Operation Certification
Pay Range: $27.
11 Minimum - $36.
43 Maximum an hour
