Associa OnCall, the maintenance division serving the nation's largest residential community association management company is seeking a licensed electrician to help lead and advance our electrical department in Palm Desert.

The Electrician Master responsibilities include but are not limited to; inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and lighting components for the properties we maintain; insuring proper preventive maintenance on all equipment under their assignment, and for meeting revenue and profitability goals within the department.
The Electrician Master ensures that all repair requests are responded to and completed in a prompt manner.
Requirements:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, maintain, modify, and repair common area lighting systems and associated electrical components.
Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair components of electrical systems, including transformers, breakers, controllers, timers, photocells, direct burial and conduit wiring, etc.
Complete work orders and record material and labor utilized on jobs as well as to provide detailed descriptions of completed work.
Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans on occasion.
Advise managers of irregularities and issues which affect equipment, operating costs, safety, or the environment and provide solutions.
Where necessary or as directed, oversee contractors.
Attend property walks and Board meetings as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge of electrical distribution systems, transformers, transfer switches as well as exterior lighting components.
Efficient troubleshooting of shorts for external landscape lighting is a must.
Clean driving record.
Associa provides a company truck.
Read and write in English.
Knowledge of general building policies and procedures for building under contract.
Extensive knowledge of building operations and systems.
Ensure that all personal and company provided tools and equipment are in good working condition.
Knowledge of local building codes and safety procedures.
Knowledge of OSHA codes; ASHRAE standards; and NFPA standards.
Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and blueprints.
Ability to perform all maintenance work.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in emergencies.
Good communication skills, written and oral.
General computer skills for word-processing and spreadsheet programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Walking, driving, use of ladders and stairs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work on knees for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Must be California C-10 licensed

Minimum 5 years field experience
High School Graduate/ GED
Working Conditions:
Typical outside work environment year-round (frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools), exposure to elements like rain, heat or cold.
Overtime may-be required (on-call rotation)
Wage range: $35 - $45 per hour depending on experience
