Job Overview:
AEVEX Aerospace is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist with experience in developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying production, process, or product issues and presenting solutions.
Essential Functions: • Organizes and originates work packages for the repair station and job travelers for the manufacturing departments, as needed • Assists in generating aircraft log entries, FAA Form 337's, and FAA Form 8130-3's • Completes and files ancillary documents as required • Audits and completes repair station/manufacturing documentation and files as necessary • Supports the shop floor with providing data and aiding documentation to complete work performed • Participates in Material Review Board • Assists in the development and implementation of QA/QC policy and procedures, and work cards • Assists in assuring compliance with CFR's, AS9100, DCMA, and AEVEX policies and procedures • Investigates reports of product quality issues; ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements • Inspects structural and parts components • Performs other related duties as assigned Experience: • 3+ years related QA experience Qualifications and Competencies: • Experience with 14 CFR Part 145 and Part 21 highly desirable • Knowledge of FAA quality systems • Familiar with research of aircraft historical records and logbooks • Experience with First Article Verification and Inspections • Understanding of the CFR's, airworthiness, directives, methods, techniques and practices contained in the applicable manufacturer's maintenance and alteration documents, and other data acceptable to, or approved by the FAA • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Detail oriented and organized in maintaining and completing inspection records • Ability to self manage and prioritize tasks with little oversight at times • Strong work ethic and integrity Education / Certifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or previous repairman certification preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
