Roofer

```Duties``` - Install, repair, and maintain roofs on residential and commercial buildings - Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new materials - Measure, cut, and shape roofing materials to fit specific dimensions - Install or replace flashing, gutters, and downspouts - Inspect roofs for damage and make necessary repairs - Ensure roofs are watertight and properly sealed - Follow safety guidelines and procedures while working at heights ```Skills``` - Proficient in stucco application and repair - Ability to fabricate roofing materials to meet project requirements - Knowledge of blueprint reading to understand roof specifications - Experience in caulking to seal gaps and prevent leaks - Familiarity with masonry work for chimney repairs or brickwork on roofs - Proficiency in metal stud framing for roof structures - Skill in tile laying for decorative or functional roofing elements - Ability to build and install roof components such as vents or skylights - Knowledge of trim carpentry for finishing touches on roofs - Competence in using power tools for cutting, shaping, and fastening roofing materials Note: This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification at any time.
