Description
General Responsibility:
The duties of the Finish Plumbing Installer are to install functional plumbing components at construction jobsites according to job specifications.
Performs the assembly and installation of plumbing material during the finished construction phase.
Significant Duties:
Interprets ISO metric plumbing drawings and drainage systems.
Installs fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, and water heaters to 100% completion.
Assembles, installs prefab material, fittings, and valves.
Makes decisions by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Modifies length of pipes and other plumbing materials as needed.
Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent or soldering.
Spot check all items for correct material per unit, notify Foreman for missing material.
Accepts plumbing deliveries and checks for correct material.
Uses saws, pipe cutters, drills, and ladders as necessary.
Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, carpenters, concrete, landscapers and drywallers in installing and repairing plumbing pipes.
Fill gas system with air and observe to detect leaks.
Performs inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace damaged parts.
May oversee and direct workers such as apprentices and laborers.
Travel to different jobsites as directed by management.
Follow all safety procedures on the jobsite.

Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes.
Other duties or projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have reliable transportation.
Mechanically inclined or has experience in plumbing.
Able to take directions for plumbing work to be done and perform tasks with limited supervision.
Two or more years of experience in construction
Must be familiar with all aspects of plumbing from interior to exterior application.
Experience reading ISO’s and blueprints.
Knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the plumbing trade
Two or more years of plumbing installation with finish application
Physical Requirements:
The position of Finish Plumbing Installer requires that you frequently lift and/or move objects that weight up to 75 pounds, if required to lift more than 75lbs.
employees must ensure buddy system, climb a ladder, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and work above head and below waist.
Exposed to constant work in outdoor weather conditions.
Travel to jobsites will be necessary and would require the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours.
