Armtec is comprised of three business units producing subcomponents for ordnance in Coachella, CA; decoy countermeasure flares in Camden AR; and radar countermeasure chaff in Lillington NC.

Location: Coachella, California Type: Full-Time Job Summary A high profile and respected position which requires effective interaction with all levels within the Company plus provides leadership and hands-on management of the finance function in support of Company objectives.
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to: General Ledger, Business Analytics, Sox Compliance, Audit Liaison, and primary lead in month ends close process.
The ideal candidate has a general ledger close background in a compressed 3 day reporting schedule.
This position leads the finance team in duties related to month-end close, year’s end close, and the annual audit process.
This position reports to the Controller and is an important part of the accounting team.
Primary Responsibilities Perform and leads month-end accounting close activities including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and other reporting schedules and data analysis.
Review journal entries for accuracy and timely completion based on deadlines.
Maintains continuous improvement mindset and proactively identifies, reviews and implements process improvements.
Assumes additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as needed or directed.
Maintain proper Internal Controls and compliance with policies and with GAAP and accounting requirements.
Monitors operational activities for compliance with internal control procedures and SOX requirements.
Coordination of all external audit activities including timely provision of audit schedules as required.
Oversees all account reconciliations to ensure they completed on a timely basis Effectively interface with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged with complex situations and multiple sometimes competing priorities.
Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies.
Qualifications 5-7 years of extensive working knowledge and experience.
Experience in manufacturing or comparable environment preferred Public traded or large company professional experience is a plus.
Solid ERP Knowledge, with a respectable knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
