We are looking for a skilled Handyman to join our team in Facility Maintenance! In this role, you will perform light commercial maintenance work that may include building and landscaping maintenance, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, repairing buildings, walls, floors, or stairs, and installing new equipment at a pet resort.
You are hard-working, a team player, dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do, and have the ability to work alone and seek out maintenance needs.
Significant past experience as a professional maintenance worker is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must! A love for cats, dogs and birds is imperative.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and repair standard interior and exterior building areas, including but not limited to installation and repair of drywall, linoleum, stucco, roofing and plumbing.
Maintain landscaping or grass, shrubs and trees.
Build and assemble projects as needed
Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a handyman / general maintenance
Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)
Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Must be qualified to perform at heights above thirty (30) feet with the use of a ladder, lift, or bucket truck boom
Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis
