*JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY* The Superintendent will work under the supervision of the Director of Construction.
The Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, scope clarification, quality control, security and safety procedures on the assigned job sites, as well as accurate communication, detailing the daily progress and bringing attention to potential problems and other construction management duties as assigned.
*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* * Minimum 6 years of experience in construction supervision, with a proven track record of successfully managing commercial projects.
Casino and hotel resort construction projects preferred.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials, as well as building codes and regulations.
* Work experience in all disciplines of construction (civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing) preferred * Experience managing multiple subcontractors * Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in construction management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and document management.
* Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Ensure the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans and specifications.
* Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
* Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and other personnel to optimize workflow and project efficiency.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met and resolve any deficiencies promptly.
* Identifying problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job, prioritizing tasks to provide for a smooth flow of the project, assigning tasks and responsibilities to the responsible sub-contractor.
* Verify all materials received on the project arrive as specified and ordered, and that they arrive in good condition.
* Call for all required inspections by appropriate authorities at the required stages, and inspecting all work done by sub-contractors, noting any substandard material or installation and notifying the sub-contractor.
* Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal team members, to provide updates and address concerns.
* Manage project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders, to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with contractual requirements.
