POSITION SUMMARY
This team member performs a wide variety of duties relating to the installation, construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of Casino facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:
Performs a wide variety of general building, construction, and maintenance repairs
Operates a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, tractor and lawn mower
Performs duties by using a variety of portable power tools and a variety of hand tools
Performs asphalt and cement maintenance and repair
Performs landscaping and grounds maintenance
Performs janitorial duties to assist Housekeeping team members
Ensures that all safety regulations are followed
Monitors the Facilities setup calendars and completes all jobs as required
Plans, coordinates, and executes office movements
Cleans and maintains the maintenance shop
Completes assigned maintenance requests within specified timeframes
Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the values of the Casino
Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the customer service standards.
Any other duties assigned by Facilities Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A High School diploma or the equivalent thereof, is required
The ability to operate all required vehicles and equipment, and to use a variety of hand tools is required
A general knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting and all other facets of building trades and grounds maintenance is required
Knowledge of applicable safety procedures involved in construction and repair work is required
Must have a strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence, concurrent with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the organization
Must be able to perform job functions in an atmosphere where priorities and deadlines may change frequently
Must have current California Drivers License and current insurance
Must meet requirements to qualify for a Cahuilla Casino Gaming License.
Knowledge of janitorial and housekeeping skills preferred

The ability to climb stairs and ladders, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or sit for an extended period of time, up to eight (8) hours or more, is required
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to sixty (60) pounds
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and required to move about the Casino floor and exposed to a non-smoke free environment.

Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.
If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a reasonable time agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant.
Applicants who are hired and fail t meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.
A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
