Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our growing Temecula team.
This position will be responsible for programming, setting up, and running production on CNC Mills.
* Careful review of drawings, work instructions, and programs to successfully machine to requirements.
* Programming in Mastercam
* Setting up, operating, and monitoring of machines during production runs.
* Maintain specifications by observing milling,
* Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery
* Interpret drawing requirements and use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators to meet tolerance requirements.
* Stage completed products in appropriate areas.
* Recognize, deploy and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
* Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear, and work offsets.
* Adhere to company policy concerning paperwork and work instructions.
* Comply with all company quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
* Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in company-wide Continuous Process Improvement Program to submit change initiatives.
*Qualifications + Profile*
* High School Diploma and or GED required
* NTMA Certification is a plus
* 5 years or more related experience is required including use of CNC lathes and milling equipment.
* Experience with use of Heidenhain and Hurco equipment is a plus.
* Experience performing full set-ups, program and program edits, and holding tight tolerances.
* Knowledge of Mastercam CAD/CAM software.
* Ability to read G Code on the machine.
* Knowledge of CNC programs related to the operation of computerized engine lathes and mills.
* Knowledge of CNC and manual machining methods and safety practices.
* Knowledge of feed rates and processing speeds for various jobs.
* Knowledge of machinery maintenance procedures.
* Knowledge of math, computer logic, geometry, and measuring procedures.
* Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and use of standard measurement tools.
* Knowledge of safe procedures for handling hazardous materials.
* Read and understand prints, manufacturing procedures, and instructions.
* Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Work effectively with management, supervisors, and co-workers.

Pay: $80,000.
00 - $125,000.
