*CNC Manager*
Responsible for managing the administration of the CNC Department.
The individual in this position will perform a variety of machine shop related tasks in making components used in the manufacturing of water faucet components.
Responsibilities include developing creative solutions to CNC design problems, ensuring the proper CNC operating practices are followed, ensuring production KPI’s and efficiencies are being met daily, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Manage and update work order schedule priorities in the CNC department so that the operators can perform their jobs efficiently and ensure proper quality output.
* The allocation of work to machinists, managing priorities, maintaining equipment, and managing personnel.
* Listen to inputs from production, management, quality, material planning and purchasing personnel.
* Assess potential prototype components, validation, and calculation of cost for parts using estimated production cycle times.
* Initiate process optimization of new parts and released components.
Document all process parameters.
* Understand and read drawings.
Assist with CMM inspection and macro programming for routinely inspected items.
* Work with the Quality Manager to establish quality control parameters.
* Daily interaction with employees from various areas of the business.
Able to quickly shift priorities, collaborate effectively with others, maintain positive working relationships, and have high personal standards for job accomplishments.
* Assisting operators with set up of jobs on machines, but training and mentoring operators to be self-sufficient with minimal support.
* Requires regular, reliable attendance.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
*Education and Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree and/or four-year college or university program certificate.
* A minimum of 10+ years related experience, two- or four-year certificate from technical school.
* Must have 10+ years’ experience in CNC machining metal components and programming.
Management/supervisory experience required.
Manual machining experience along with design experience.
The applicant should have in depth knowledge of the operations of a CNC machine shop in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment, including but not limited to capabilities of various CNC mills, lathes, mill-turns, Swiss, and other CNC machining related equipment, multi-axis a plus.
Further, the applicant should have experience in the managing of jobs/contracts, production scheduling, materials sourcing, labor sourcing, cost management, and general management of staff.
