The Facilities Technician I is a full-time non-exempt employee of The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands and reports to the Deputy Director -Facilities and works in partnership with other Trust employees.
Pay Range: $22.
46 - $26.
00 Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Places safety as a top priority Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions Be able to work overnight shifts and overtime when required Assist in the setup & operation of onsite retreats/events Furniture removal and installation equipment set up for catering staff clean up and trash removal Respond to guest requests Keep all buildings and structures in proper working condition Respond to facilities request forms Replacing light bulbs Plunge clogged toilets and repair faucets.
Repair doors and door hardware to ensure proper function Ensure proper operation of electrical system Maintain proper temperature set points for HVAC systems Keep breakroom appliances in working order Perform routine maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems HVAC Inspect equipment according to maintenance schedule Schedule any needed repairs Replace filters according to maintenance schedule Replace belts as needed Clean and flush condenser coils Electrical Inspect equipment according to maintenance schedule Schedule any needed repairs Clean and paint street lights Ensure all time clocks and lighting controls are operating as programed Plumbing Inspect equipment according to maintenance schedule Schedule any needed repairs Run water on all faucets, showers and flush toilets in guest accommodations according to maintenance schedule Ensure hot water recirculating pumps are operating properly Assist in construction projects, including Demolition Carpentry, rough and finish Electrical, rough-in, make-up and finish Plumbing, rough-in and finish trim Drywall and plastering Painting Maintain appearance of all buildings and structures Drywall, plaster and stucco repairs Painting Cleaning of building exteriors and hardscape surfaces Pool cleaning Be available for emergency repairs when needed Power outages Plumbing leaks and damages Weather related damages Roof damage/leaks Flood damage Wind damage PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentials of this job.

SKILLS NEEDED: Basic PC proficiency level Effective communications skills; written and verbal Solid attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills Ability to work with ladders Lifting requirements; 50lbs.
and capable of moving furniture Proficient with hand and power tools, including circular saws, reciprocating saws, grinders, sanders, drills, hammers, wrenches, shovels, hoses and brooms Experience with building trades Carpentry Electrical Plumbing Drywall and plaster Painting Mechanical Operate equipment, including skip loaders and forklifts; training certification will be required.
Valid California Drivers License to operate pick-up trucks while towing trailers QUALIFICATIONS: The Facilities Technician I will have the following experience: High School Diploma or GED Minimum two years of related experience Computer Proficiency to manage Facilities Database This position description identifies only the major functions and responsibilities of this job.
