Job Title: *Fine Art Crate Fabricator*
Job Summary:
The job requires a thorough understanding and familiarity with fine art crate fabrication.
A thorough knowledge of and experience with procedures, tools and materials used for building crates, art packing, wrapping and transport.
As a fine art crate fabricator, you will be working alongside the owners of The Art Collective to build custom fine art crates for the preparation of transport and storage of high value works of art.
Attention to detail and safety when handling artworks is top priority.
Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight without damage to person or object, including the ability to push/pull heavily weighted dollies and carts.
This is not a entry level position, we are looking for experienced candidates only and highly skilled preferred,
*Qualifications:*
* US work authorization (required).
* High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
* Carpentry experience.
A thorough knowledge of woodworking and power tools is required.
* Knowledge of best practices for wrapping and packing 2-D and 3-D objects including how to pack a slat crate, travel frame, shadow box, slipcase, cavity pack, and standard crating techniques
* 2+ years previous experience in related employment
* Strong attention to detail, safety protocols and organizational skills
* Ability to meet deadliness, with some overtime as needed
* Must be comfortable working with people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientations
* Able to work with all levels of clientele in a dynamic environment
* Ability to work independently, take initiative and work well within a team
* Willingness to take direction, learn and adapt to new situations
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
*Job Details:*
* Carpentry - Building custom fine art shipping crates as well as custom fabrication projects as needed
* Art handling and packing experience
* Willingness to travel and build on-site

Pay: commensurate upon experience, $25.
