Summary
The Slot Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Gaming Devices, Redemption, JXC and Recycler Kiosks and all related peripheral equipment, including printers, bill validators, signs, networking systems and components.
The Slot Technician will effectively communicate and report to Senior Slot Technicians and Slot Technical Supervisors.
Duties/Responsibilities Communicate with all team members clearly and effectively.
Stay current with new gaming platforms and products as well as assisting others in the learning process.
Coordinate with and assist Slot Operations as requested.
Organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision.
Responsible for the installation, removal, conversion and relocation of gaming devices.
Maintain a working knowledge of bill validators, printers, displays, button panels, communication system hardware and repair standards of each.
Install, configure and maintain progressive equipment and signs.
Preventative maintenance on gaming devices and signs.
Perform firmware upgrades on gaming device peripherals (i.
e.
printers, validators).
Troubleshoot, breakdown and repair of gaming devices, as instructed.
Troubleshooting, breakdown and repair of Redemption Kiosks, JXC Kiosks and Recycler Kiosks as instructed.
Perform firmware upgrades on Redemption and JXC Kiosks.
Troubleshooting, breakdown of signs and LCD endcaps as instructed.
Clear bill validator jams and perform emergency drops.
Troubleshoot the Casino Management System.
Investigate and verify any ticket issues.
Run data cable (fiber optic/CAT 6) for gaming devices and Redemption Kiosks.
Ability to troubleshoot network switch configuration, error codes and communication issues.
Participate in projects in a team environment by interpreting project documents, gathering necessary materials for the project, and assists in RAM clearing and optioning of project games.
Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
Maintain personal tools and equipment necessary for position.
Verify Gaming Device signatures with Regulatory and Compliance.
Walk/stand and work 90% of shift and work in unfavorable conditions which can occasionally be hot and noisy, grasp, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, lift and /or carry tools/supplies.
Operate a forklift, power tools, networking troubleshooting tools, electronic test equipment, and solder equipment.
At all times, team members are expected to exemplify the values of Commitment, Humility, Integrity, Respect and Passion.
Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

Education / Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age.
High School diploma or equivalent, required.
Previous experience as a Slot Technician is preferred.
Associates (AA/AS) or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or any related field, considered a plus but not required.
Knowledge of AC/DC electronic theory is preferred.
Possess intermediate motor skills and troubleshooting techniques and strong organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail and quality of service.
Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift, power pallet jack and pallet jack certification within first 90 days of position or as facilitated by Slot Management.
