Quality Control Supervisor

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Quality Control Supervisor maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products while recording quality results.
Makes recommendations on adjusting the assembly and/or production process while inspecting and testing products being produced.
Ensures products are free from defects and there are no deviations from specifications.

· Responsible for effectiveness of the QC lab including processes and personnel including daily workflow and workers schedules · Oversee inspection of first article production castings · Oversee in process inspection of ongoing production · Responsible for accuracy and timely calibration of monitoring and measuring devices · Reports KPIs and Quality metrics as assigned · Manage the testing, measurement, and review of internal processes that affect quality conformance · Responsible for work flow prioritization · Leads in process improvements with production to develop improved in-process inspection techniques, tools and work instructions as needed · May participate in small to large engineering improvement projects.
· Recommend equipment, software, etc.
that will improve the inspection process through Project Charters and ROIs · Ensure the company’s quality requirements conform to both customer’s ISO 9001 and the Company’s ISO 9001.

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in an office setting with occasional Machine Shop walkabouts.
Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Employee is exposed to Manufacturing atmospheric conditions such as fumes or airborne particles, noise, extreme weather, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
Note, personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when entering the plant to include ear plugs, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.
Disposable masks are optional.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear.
Although mostly a sedentary role, occasional standing and walking is required.
Additionally, incumbent must use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required stoop, kneel, or crouch.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through , 7:00 a.

to 4:00 p.
m.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL Up to 10% travel may be required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s Degree in industrial or scientific program of study, such as engineering or business administration (may substitute with experience at Edelbrock’s discretion) · 7+ years of related experience with bachelor’s degree, 10+ years without Bachelor’s degree · Supervisory/management experience PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS None required for this position.
