Job Summary/Position Overview
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, provides general maintenance to the facility operating components, exhibition construction, and facility cleaning.
Essential Functions/Specific Responsibilities
* Minor to moderate facility repair and construction, e.
g.
, drywall installation, painting, fixture replacement, plumbing repair
* Performs general housekeeping, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning, and electrical fixture cleaning
* Operates minor construction and cleaning equipment
* Maintains general facility lighting and operating systems under the direction of the Operations Manager
* Assists with the moving and handling of art items during exhibition delivery, set up and transport under the direction and supervision of the Collections Manager
* Repair and set-up of office equipment and furniture
* Special event table and chair placement, clean up, and event assistance as needed by the Special Events Manager
* Commute to and work at other Museum facilities
* Drive company vehicle
Minimum Qualifications
* Ability to lift 30 pounds
* 1 year of verifiable Maintenance experience
* Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Valid Driver’s License must be maintained at all times
* Previous on the job knowledge preferred
* Ability to work flexible schedule (weekends, evenings, etc.
)
