The General Manager at Temalpakh Farm holds a pivotal role, overseeing all aspects of farming operations, staff management, budgeting, and ensuring maximum profitability.
This leadership position involves directing and coordinating field worker activities, from planting to harvesting, and maintaining seamless communication between the farm and market functions.
In addition to responsibilities related to payroll, bookkeeping, and conflict resolution, the General Manager oversees the Farm Education and Tribal Educators program.
This dynamic role requires a blend of managerial, operational, and agricultural expertise.
Position Duties:
Implement health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
Monitor crop quality, weather implications, and develop contingency plans.
Meet product goals, adhere to deadlines, and maximize profits through strategic sales decisions.
Plan and manage finances and production for sustainability, tracking crop progress against budget.
Maintain financial records and oversee upkeep of farm buildings, machinery, and equipment.
Actively participate in planting and harvesting seasons as a working manager.
Train staff, mentor, and stay informed about pests, diseases, and organic agricultural treatments.
Attend administrative duties and Tribal meetings as requested.

Must be 21 or older to apply.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or 8–10 years of current experience in lieu of a degree.
License/Certifications:
Augustine Gaming License.
Food Handler's Card.
First Aid/CPR Certified.
Work Experience Requirements:
Three to five years of hands-on farming experience, including staff management and crop production.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
