Custom Sportster for Sale -
2009 Harley 1200 cc Engine.
Discription from builder:
This is how we roll in the 'Lo-Dez'.
.
.
I built this bike after seeing Vince Doll's 'Redneck Mutant' Vincent at the Indy Industry Show in 2007.
I used a 2001 Harley Sportster 1200 engine with Screaming Eagle cams, S&S Shorty carb, and TwinTech single-fire ignition.
I fabbed the 2-into-1 merge collector exhaust with a Fat-Boy cat-converter muffler, very 'stealth' and 'green'.
I used a Jagg oil-cooler and pressure gauge.
The engine has all chromed covers, allen bolts and hardware.
Vince Doll (Redneck Engineering) built the chassis and rubber-mounted fuel and oil tanks.
The rear fender is an early 'spun' Jesse James part.
I built the seat using memory foam and Mercedes head-liner perforated-leather.
Progressive Suspension supplied the single rear shock.
The Marchesini 17" wheels, calipers, 'wave rotors', Buell carbon-fiber front fender, and White Power forks came from Herman Gould's (Underground Cycles) '96 Buell Lightning "Street Fighter'.
Every Cop here in the Valley knew that bike! I used Shinko 'Stealth' tires and a nickle-plated 530 DID chain-drive/sprocket conversion.
.
.
The rest of the parts came from my friends at Drag Specialties and V-Twins in New York.
All the minimalist wiring is run through the handlebars and frame and has a new gel-cell battery.
I used Cobra risers, tac, nut-covers and license-plate frame.
I got a little carried away with the Battistini/V-Twins 'Holy' grips, levers, pegs, and a 70's vintage HD airfilter.
Whatever.
.
.
The 'Rhino' name comes from the truck-bed liner coating on the bike.
We custom-mixed a color and added a UV inhibitor, no waxing/polishing EVER! Just hose it off and Armor-All once a year.
.
.
it has trophies from a couple o' local shows.
It's never been down.
It rides great with the mono-shock frame and suspension, launches like a drag-bike, and stops like a road-racer.
I have photos of the build from start to finish.
It's registered/insured in California as a 2009 Redneck Mutant, with current pink-slip.
Denny invested over thirteen thousand building it.
I'm glad to answer any questions, but please, NO Tire-kickers, Novice Riders, WannaBees, This shouldn't be your first bike.
You can see more of the builders work on-line if you Google/Bing/YouTube 'Denny Berg Motorcycles'.
