Summary
The Pickleball Coordinator will be responsible for the development, management, and promotion of pickleball programs; the organizing and scheduling of all programming including clinics, leagues, camps, open play, and tournaments.
This role ensures optimal court utilization through all kinds of different programming and offerings.
The Pickleball Coordinator should be able to instruct pickleball, maintain the facilities which include 21 pickleball courts, supervise staff and communicate all pickleball programming to members and guests.
Duties/Responsibilities Is proactive and self-motivated in developing, executing and monitoring a Pickleball program.
Responsible for all club and Pickleball activity programming, including developing and promoting pickleball programs for all age groups.
Organize, schedule, administer and promote leagues, round robins, drop-in/open-play, ladders, social events, tournaments, lessons and all other Pickleball programming.
Develops a detailed annual calendar of Pickleball activities that attract new members and maintain current members’ Pickleball interests.
Promote open plays, events, leagues, round robins, ladders, tournaments and any other Pickleball related news through weekly newsletter, the website, social media and our booking software.
Engage all players on our courts on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being met.
Know and understand your customer, especially club members, to try to meet their needs before asked.
Create, develop, and implement on-going successful leagues for all levels of play.
Responsible for determining if the courts are playable.
May be required to stop play due to weather conditions.
Coordinate both internally and externally to ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the pickleball area to include the pool and locker-room / shower areas.
Suggest and help create marketing initiatives to increase awareness of our brand, location, to assist in driving membership.
Track, record, and compile performance data to share with management on a monthly basis.
Promote club memberships to all potential prospects.
Embodies Soboba Casino Resort’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Performance Requirements Thorough knowledge of the game of Pickleball.
Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members.
Experience with Court Reserve scheduling software.

Serve as a contributing Team Member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians enhancing the Casino’s operations in all its business endeavors.
Education / Qualifications Must be 21 years of age, or older.
Minimum 1-year consistent pickleball teaching experience Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work as part of a team, and independently.
USPTA Pickleball Certification considered a plus, but not required.
Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
Must possess a California Driver’s License and a clean driving record (less than 3 points).
