Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team.
As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles to designated locations.
This is a full-time position that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles from various locations
- Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using proper equipment and techniques
- Secure vehicles properly to ensure safe transportation
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, such as jump-starting vehicles or changing tires
- Maintain accurate records of each tow, including vehicle information and destination
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting stranded motorists and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate towing assignments
- Adhere to all traffic laws and towing regulations
- Handle conflicts or difficult situations with professionalism and diplomacy
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Previous experience operating a tow truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic vehicle repairs on-site is a plus
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals
- Ability to load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment safely
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
