It's best to work with your original transmission.
4L60Es vary from year to year and from engine to engine; car to truck.
There were different pin counts, bellhousings, input shafts; etc.
.
from 93 on up.
I also rebuild the 700R4 (4L60) from 82-92 for $1200.
These transmissions can last a long time under stressful conditions but they really do need more 3-4 clutches, a kevlar band, and a lot of shift upgrades; along with elimination of the pwm partial converter lockup.
The TransGo reprogramming kit I use bypasses the pwm partial lock because it causes excessive wear in the converter clutch; so this kit locks and unlocks it like the older transs.
I use an aftermarket front thrust washer of .
132 instead of the sloppy .
062 oem.
I only use Alto racing clutches in the 3-4 stack (NINE instead of just the factory SIX), and a high performance Kevlar band.
There are a few other mods in the shift kit that supplant the corvette servo fix.
I might as well give up my secret on the 3-4 clutch pack; now that Alto has come out
with their "New; Only Available Here" extended relief springs that prevent 3-4 clutch pack burn-up when the thinner hp top plate is used.
I extend the springs with .
100" spacers.
.
.
This is basically a street racing transmission that works well in Trucks and any vehicle that undergoes severe service applications.
Don't forget to check your MAP sensor if you're getting a late hard 1-2 shift.
The TPS can also cause the same problem.
Text is best; I've always got my hands in a transmission.
I don't work on cars and I can't assist with R&R.
Allow at least two weeks.
