We are currently searching for a dynamic, personable, detail-focused Accounts Payable.
The ultimate mission of this role will be to perform day to day processing of accounts payable transactions, reconcile general ledger accounts, custom reporting as required, maintain electronic & physical files.
Assist other accounting staff with support as needed.
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable responsibilities will include the following:
· Perform day to day processing of accounts payables to ensure that payables are coded properly, maintained in an effective, up to date accurate manner and maintain accounts payable files.
· Prepare and print checks for payment
· Ensure invoices needing to be billed to a third party are provided to accounts receivable.
· Receive, sort, verify, code invoices, and forward all invoices to proper personnel for approval.
· Verify and match credit card receipts to statements.
· Reconcile vendor statements and account discrepancies on a monthly basis.
· Prepare and maintain custom cost/project reports as requested.
· Prepare and file 1099’s.
· Maintain current W-9’s.
· Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
· Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
· Maintain confidentiality of company data and vendor records.
· Other activities as directed by the employer, from time to time.
The ideal Accounts Payable candidate will bring the following minimum required or preferred assets to the company:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
* Ability to analyze data and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills required
* Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed records.
* Ability to multitask required
* Microsoft Office skills required
