We are currently seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to work on project contracts in Palm Springs, California.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the VP of Operations, Project Managers, and Superintendents, gaining valuable experience in permitting, scheduling, procurement, and document control.
We specifically encourage applications from qualified candidates in the local Santa Barbara area.
*Responsibilities:* * Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders critical to project success, such as owners, influencers, architects, and enforcement officials.
* Cultivate positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring fair and professional interactions, setting an example for others.
* Monitor project costs to adhere to budget constraints, overseeing General Condition costs, Bancroft labor budgets, allowances, and contingencies.
* Communicate accurate project schedule information to subcontractors/suppliers and coordinate among all trades effectively.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues related to the procurement schedule, updating and adjusting as needed.
* Adhere to Bancroft’s risk management and safety policies, ensuring compliance in partnership with Project Managers and Superintendents.
* Ensure comprehensive punch lists are created, communicated, and completed per contract documents and Bancroft’s Quality plan.
* Manage the closeout process efficiently.
*Qualifications:* * Minimum of 3 years of labor compliance experience in California, specifically with Union and Prevailing Wage strong desired.
* Access to reliable transportation for commuting to and from project sites.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Project Management software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
* Fundamental experience using databases.
*Education/Experience:* * Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
