Aquatic TechnicianThree keeps the pools running and provides a safe and fun environment for guests.
The Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of aquatic equipment, ensuring functionality meets all required quality standards to maximize operating time and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Core Responsibilities:
Removing debris from the pool using nets and other tools.
Testing the water temperature, chemical balance, and clarity of the pool water.
Responsible for the cleanliness and safe operation of the pool areas; vacuuming pools, power-washing floors, acid washing the deck as needed.
Cleaning the pool by brushing algae off the walls and the floor, cleaning skimmer and pump baskets.

R equipment (pools, pumps, motors, fountains, water features, & pond).
Conducts daily inspections of all pool and spa mechanical systems and water features; performs general maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Documents maintenance actions, including system or equipment irregularities that require monitoring.
Conducts daily water testing and adjusts using chemical treatments as needed.
Works professionally with management, co-workers, and guests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
High work ethic and self-initiative
Regular attendance according to established guidelines
May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
Use arithmetic for accurately completing timecards and doing inventory
Understand and efficiently operate a computer
Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and always maintain staff and guest confidentiality.
Knowledge of water chemistry, water testing, filtration, and commercial pool mechanical operations
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) license preferred.
Assist with training & be a team leader.
3 to 5 years' experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
Safely operate a golf cart, resort vehicle, tow a trailer, pressure washer and any pool cleaning equipment.
Lift approximately seventy-five (75) pounds of equipment or supplies, using safe lifting techniques
Twist, bend, reach and stoop to push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds and empty trash cans, approximately sixty (60) pounds.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability.
