Prime Contractor looking for experienced fiber splicer.
Experience preferred includes working with DWDM, CWDM Mux’s, Ribbon, Single mode Fiber.
Also FTTH projects & Emergency restorations/on call.
Responsibilities:
- Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables for CATV projects
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques and equipment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams
- Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems
- Understanding of WAN, LAN, and network infrastructure components
- Ability to operate boom lift and other equipment safely
As a Splicer, you will be responsible for performing splicing and termination of fiber optic cables for CATV infrastructure projects.
You will also be involved in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage and high voltage equipment.
Additionally, you will work with WAN, LAN, and network infrastructure components.
The ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely is required.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing techniques and equipment.
You should also be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams.
Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is necessary, as well as an understanding of WAN, LAN, and network infrastructure components.
