Hey, my name is Simon.
I sold my acoustic bass but I am in the market for another one.
I would like to find someone to listen to music with and find covers to do that we both like.
I play the bass in a sort of melodic way though I do know the role of the bass especially when played with other instruments.
However, I want to play it my way which is bit of both.
I can try to play harmonies to your singing the regular parts.
I also play percussion.
I like a lot of genres.
I can't say that I am into all of them though, like country or metal.
I have many I can suggest for an open mic situation that I personally feel comfortable with because I have played along with them for years, some would say I should be a lead guitarist the way I want to play melodically; I just play the notes that I want to hear, and in this group, there is no guitar so it will work.
I am 43 and live in an apartment and have neighbors so even though it's acoustic, we would have to go outside or go to my parents house which is close.
My dad is 89 and I help him out a lot.
Their house is huge and private; we could swim and eat and have a blast there.
I really just want to have fun; I don't care about the stage or money.
Maybe youtube videos? I mainly just do art on paper and try to sell that online so if you like to paint or draw, that could be cool too.
I work from home so I have lots of time.
Let me know what your favorite songs are or bands you sing in the shower and have always loved to hear, or we can just listen to music and make a list.
Send me a picture so I know you don't look like a total nut.
No druggies.
THC ok.
Some alcohol ok though I do not drink.
& it matters.
I am looking for someone in tune with their spirit because that informs your voice.
Not that I am judgmental.
Think psychedelic rock or folk or r&b, vs.
pop.
I haven't heard music I like from any contemporary groups, maybe you can show me different.
Blessings, Simon
