Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Enrolled Agent to join our team.
As an Enrolled Agent, you will be responsible for providing tax preparation and planning services to our clients.
Your expertise in tax laws and regulations will be crucial in ensuring compliance and maximizing tax benefits for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
- Conduct thorough reviews of client financial records to identify potential deductions, credits, and exemptions
- Provide tax planning advice to clients to minimize their tax liabilities
- Assist clients with tax audits and represent them before the IRS or other taxing authorities
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and compliant tax filings
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as accountants and financial advisors, to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
Requirements:
- Valid Enrolled Agent (EA) designation from the IRS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.
g.
, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns and other financial documents
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and explain complex tax concepts in simple terms
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
