*Position Description: Accounting Manager* *Position Summary:* This position is at the Palm Desert Corporate Office reporting directly to the CFO.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting according to GAAP.
This position will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
*Responsibilities:* 1.
Provide professional representation and support to customers, vendors and fellow employees.
2.
Provide administrative and accounting guidance to all company departments.
3.
Perform varied day to day entry, processing and maintenance of accounts receivable and payable transactions ensuring billing, payments and collections are maintained in an effective, accurate and up to date manner.
4.
Prepare lien waivers and process credit applications for new customers.
5.
Perform reconciliations, payroll, sales tax and general accounting.
6.
Prepare federal, state, insurance and workers compensation reports as required.
7.
Interact with other company departments as deemed necessary.
8.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
*Skills & Requirements:* Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Experience: Five or more years of progressively responsible experience and/or training in the accounting field.
Three or more of those years are to be in a managerial or equal position.
Skills: · Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) software · Experienced in the use of Sage or other related accounting software · Thorough understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger concepts, practices, and procedures · Maintain a high level of accuracy to ensure the correctness of accounting information · Exhibit the ability to work independently, take initiative, meet deadlines, and follow-up through assigned tasks · Organized, detail-oriented and possess the ability to write and communicate effective.
